Design Differences

One look at the Hummer and R1T and you’ll notice they don’t look much alike. While the GMC Hummer is distinctly modern, the Rivian R1T looks more like a traditional pickup. Performance Comparison

With the dual motor, you get up to 570 horsepower for the Hummer compared to 533 horsepower for the Rivian. GMC takes it to 1,000 horsepower if you choose the tri-motor. The big difference is in 7400 lb.-ft of torque for GMC over 610 lb.-ft of torque for the R1T. When it comes to carrying more stuff, the Hummer gives you extra space with a total of nearly 48 cubic feet of storage compared to just over 29 cubic feet for the R1T.

Advanced Technology

Both trucks showcase some impressive technology to enhance your journeys. They provide a Wi-Fi hotspot and offer a premium sound system. The Hummer also makes Android Auto and Apple CarPlay standard while it’s not included with the Rivian.
