Chevy Bolt EV vs EUV General Information
The Chevy Bolt EV has been around for a while and is a small, electric car aimed at the budget-conscious consumer. In 2022 Chevy is launching a radically redesigned Bolt as well as a Bolt EUV. Although stylistically they are similar, their shape sets them apart. The EUV blends the EV with an SUV look to make something totally different while the EUV retains the hatchback look.
The 2022 Bolt EV vs EUV Price Points
Overall, the 2022 Bolt EV is the cheaper option and with the brand new look, comes a brand new price starting at $31,000 while Bolt EUV is $2,000 more with a starting price of $33,000. 2021 Bolts started out at $36,500 making the 2022 Bolt down $5,500 from its previous price point. If you got every feature added to the new Bolt, even down to the premium colors, it ended up costing just $300 more than the base 2021 Bolt model.
Bolt EV vs EUV Features Comparison
Get adaptive cruise control with all packages, they also come with wireless phone charging and a seven-speaker Bose audio system instead of the six-speaker standard system. The Bolt EV comes chalked full of exciting standard features such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen with a rearview camera, remote start, Wireless Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. The standard features get even better if you opt for the 2L trim. The vehicles can be equipped with Surround Vision which gives you an overhead 360° look at the area around your car. There are also blind-spot detection systems with lane change alerts.
Bolt EV vs EUV Range
Both the EV and EUV have similar ranges with an impressive 259 miles per charge. The DC fast charging still has a limited 55 kWh, which means you get only 95 miles for 30 minutes of DC charging. They take 7.5 hours for a full charge when plugged into a Level 2 220 volt outlet. The ES is a good choice but is a bit smaller than the EUV which is equipped with more space in the interior and slightly larger overall.
The EUV is Slightly Larger and A Tad Better
The Bolt EV and EUV are very similar and size on the inside, both have 40 inches of headroom and about 38 inches in the rear, legroom is also about the same. The only big difference is that the EUV has 3 more inches of legroom for the backseat passengers. The two videos are very similar in almost every way, the biggest difference between the two would be the interior features in the EUV are much better. The major feature is the available Chevy SuperCruise system. This system allows you to take your hands off the wheel as you cruise, it is hands-free, but you still need to keep your eyes on the road.
